Perfectly suited for weekend and midweek snowboard trips. The resort is an easy four hour drive from Johannesburg, six hours from Durban, two hours from Bloem and about nine hours from Cape Town. Most importantly you need a valid South African passport, no visa is required. This year Afriski hosts The Kings Cup (Lesotho Ski & Snowboard Championships) from the 25 - 26 July 2009. Every weekend there will be representatives from snowboarder.co.za assisting in the park.

Afriski has been open for the last four years and boasts:

  • Excellent snow quality
  • The brand new snowboader.co.za freestyle terrain park
  • A beginner slope with a drag lift
  • A quick T-Bar lift
  • Excellent snow making facilities
  • A superb rental and retail shop stocking Burton, Salomon, Heli Hanson and many other snow brands.
  • The Wes Pub bar as well as the new on slope Gondla Cafe umbrella bar
  • A sit down restaurant
  • Plenty of accommodation is available in the resort, ranging from luxury chalets to an affordable Backpacker lodge

Visit Afriski for more information.
