Mountain Boarding

A few weeks back the snowboarder crew of Gearbox and myself followed part of the Ski Club mountainboard gang, made up of of Mike and Stefan Rassman, Matt Amoretti and Kat Maponyane, to the central drakensberg to investigate Rock Slide Mountainboarding (a division of the extensive 4 Rivers Adventure Complex). What we found was an excellent set of mountain boarding tracks and freestyle jumps. The tracks and jumps cater for riders from beginner to pro. There is a large selection of boards with and with out brakes available to hire and you can take freestyle lessons with one of SA's best riders.
